Castle Sites for Younger Visitors

These websites are particularly good for getting younger visitors interested in castles. Sometimes interactive and always geared for the beginner, they're fun for adults, too.
Build a Medieval Castle
Download free educational software for Windows 3.1 or 95/98 and print out the pieces you need to build your own castle. Online printable instructions include background info on castles. Nice project to get kids thinking.
Ghosts in the Castle!
Vivid graphics make this National Geographic tour for kids highly enjoyable, but download is slow. Don't miss the Rescue in the Castle activity page.
The Kids' Castle
Graphic-intensive, nicely interactive site offers introductory info on the parts of a medieval castle and the events that took place there. Sponsored by experían and hosted by Kids on the Net.
